THE LEFTOVERS

Beyond the busy parts of Colorado are the places and objects that have been left behind. Inspired by the work of Stephen Shore and William Christenberry, this series focuses on abandoned buildings and artifacts that have lost their original purpose. While my "Small Town" project looks at the layout of a community, The Leftovers looks closer at the individual structures that remain after people have moved on.

I am interested in the stories etched into these walls—the history of who lived there or what the building once was. Many of these stories will likely never be told, but the buildings themselves still stand as a memory on the land. By documenting these forgotten spaces, I want to capture the quiet dignity of what remains before it is gone for good.
